Die Casting
It's no
wonder that nearly every manufacturing industry uses metal
die casting. No other material is as durable or as easily
recycled. No other process offers the same cost-effectiveness
in high-volume production. Metal enclosures often inherently
provide enough shielding from electromagnetic interference
to meet EMI standards. Metal is also an excellent choice when
heat dissipation or conductivity are factors.
Modern
die-casting processes ensure consisistent quality even with
intricate configurations and extremely close tolerances, and
result in a high-quality surface that can take a variety of
decorative finishes.
Acme Alliance
offers decades of experience creating aluminum, zinc and magnesium
die castings for a wide array of applications. Combining traditional
craftsmanship with the latest technologies and statistical
process control (SPC) methods, we have earned a reputation
for accuracy, consistency and timely delivery, even on the
most difficult assignments.
THIXOMOLDING
Everybody's
talking about Thixomolding. This combination of metal casting
technology and
plastic injection molding is a revolutionary advancement,
allowing the production of net shape metal parts in a single
step.
Based
on the principle that magnesium alloys become semi-solid at
high temperatures, this process allows the alloys to be molded
much like plastic, resulting in components that are light,
strong and thin yet durable. Reduced finishing needs and quicker
start-up and shutdown add to the cost-effectiveness of this
innovative new metal molding process.
Acme
Alliance recognized early on that Thixomolding held great
promise. In fact, strategic alliance member Acme Die Casting,
LLC is the first company in North America to produce aluminum,
zinc, magnesium and Thixomolded parts in one facility.
We're
ahead of the curve on emerging metal technologies. So you're
ahead of the curve, too.
"V-PROCESS"
CASTING
When
it's a short run, look to Acme Alliance for value-added services
with a capital "V". Prototype and low-volume production
(bridging quantities) require special attention. Precision
and quality are critical,
but so is a quick turnaround.
Acme Alliance
companies can help you meet your prototype and low volume
production needs -- from 3-D prototype development to V-PROCESS
aluminum castings.
Stereo
lithography and laser imaging enable the creation of prototypes
with a true 3-D look and feel, whether working from engineering
specifications or reverse engineering.
An automated
vacuum molding process that uses sand as a mold material,
the V-PROCESS produces finer finishes and casts to tighter
and more consistent tolerances than typical sand castings.
V-PROCESS also offers unlimited pattern life. For excellent
casting integrity and maximum flexibility, no other process
is more reliable and cost-effective.
